📖 নিয়ম

যে noun গোনা যায় তা countable (spade, pot) — এদের singular ও plural রূপ আছে। যা গোনা যায় না তা uncountable (water, rice) — এদের plural হয় না। Plural করার নিয়ম: সাধারণত s; ch/sh/x/z-এর পর es; y→ies; f/fe→ves।

সাধারণ + s

book→books, spade→spades, key→keys

ch, sh, x, z + es

branch→branches, dish→dishes, box→boxes, quiz→quizzes

y → ies

army→armies, baby→babies, city→cities

f/fe → ves

leaf→leaves, knife→knives

Uncountable (plural নেই)

water, rice, air, furniture, information

✨ বইয়ের উদাহরণ

• spade → spades, tub → tubs, tomato → tomatoes

• nursery → nurseries, butterfly → butterflies

• dish → dishes, bush → bushes

• 'land' and 'leisure' are uncountable — you cannot count them.
