কে কথা বলছে, কাকে বলছে, কার কথা হচ্ছে
Person কাকে বলে
First, Second, Third Person
বাক্যে কে কথা বলছে, কাকে বলা হচ্ছে, আর কার সম্পর্কে বলা হচ্ছে — এই তিনটা অবস্থানকে Person বলে।
• I (বক্তা), you (শ্রোতা), he (অন্য কেউ)
First Person (উত্তম পুরুষ)
I, we (+ my, our, me, us)
যে নিজে কথা বলছে সে First Person — একজন হলে I, একাধিক হলে we।
• I am a student.
• We are friends.
Second Person (মধ্যম পুরুষ)
you (+ your)
যাকে বলা হচ্ছে সে Second Person — you একবচন ও বহুবচন দুটোতেই একই থাকে।
• You are my friend.
• You (all) are welcome.
Third Person (নাম পুরুষ)
he, she, it, they (+ his, her, its, their)
যার সম্পর্কে কথা বলা হচ্ছে (বক্তা বা শ্রোতা নয়), সে Third Person।
• He is a doctor.
• She sings well.
• They are playing.
• It is raining.
Person ও Verb-এর সম্পর্ক
Third Person Singular + verb+s/es (Simple Present-এ)
Simple Present tense-এ Third Person Singular subject (he/she/it) হলে verb-এর শেষে s/es যোগ হয়। I/You/We/They-এর সাথে s লাগে না।
• He plays football. (Third Person Singular → plays)
• I play football. (First Person → play, s নেই)

Person অনুযায়ী Possessive শব্দ
my/our (1st), your (2nd), his/her/its/their (3rd)
কার জিনিস তা বোঝাতে Person অনুযায়ী আলাদা possessive শব্দ ব্যবহার হয়।
• This is my bag. (1st person)
• That is your pen. (2nd person)
• This is her book. (3rd person)
